When I was lost in college, this performance really inspired me. I had never heard of this band (not big in the States) and I randomly found it on youtube and I like this video best because the sound is really distorted. The way Pete looks into Carl’s eyes is haunting. Doherty also made me realize how powerful words can be in a whimsical way, which obviously inspired me here.
This is also the first song that I learned on guitar that made me realize how bar chords work, which is pretty important. That “a-ha!” moment when you’re learning something on guitar is really something special.
